DIY Starbucks: Save money by making these Starbucks treats at home!
Pumpkin spice season is here! If you’re a coffee aficionado, this might be your favorite time of year to hit up your Starbucks for a fall-time treat. However, you may be spending more on coffee yearly than you think. The average price of a Starbucks drink is around $3. If you got a coffee every day for a year, that’d be around $1,000! If you want to save that money, look no further than these recipes that help you recreate these drinks at home for less!
1) Pumpkin Spice Latte
What you’ll need: Strong coffee or espresso, milk of choice, pumpkin spice syrup, whipped cream and cinnamon for topping (optional), milk frother
How you’ll make it: Start by frothing ¼ cup of milk. Brew your cup of strong coffee of choice. Add two tablespoons of pumpkin spice syrup (about two pumps) to your coffee. Pour your frothed milk over the coffee. Add whipped cream and cinnamon on top if desired and enjoy!
2) Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew
What you’ll need: Cold brew coffee, heavy cream, pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, vanilla syrup, ice, milk frother
How you’ll make it: Start by frothing ½ cup of heavy cream with a tablespoon of pumpkin puree and a teaspoon of pumpkin spice. Add ice to a cup and pour the cold brew over the ice. Add a tablespoon of vanilla syrup (about one pump) and stir. Pour pumpkin cream over the cold brew, top with more pumpkin spice, and enjoy!
3) Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino
What you’ll need: Cold brew or strong coffee (chilled), pumpkin puree, milk of choice, vanilla syrup, pumpkin spice, ice, whipped cream and cinnamon for topping (optional), blender
How you’ll make it: Add the cup of coffee, cup of milk and ice to a blender. Blend for 5 seconds to mix. Add 1/3 cup pumpkin puree, tablespoon of vanilla syrup (about one pump), and a tablespoon of pumpkin spice. Blend again until smooth. Pour into glass and top with whipped cream and cinnamon if desired. Enjoy!
